For Awhile Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

For Awhile

Her gaunt vegan body dances
The world is a military base
I am spiritual
My friends think they can change it
They think the devil will surrender
I don't

Genetically modified world
Changing and mixing DNA
She sings above the toys
The Marxists are on antidepressants
I ask her to dance
We hold one another for awhile
