For Frogs Are Croaking Poem by Saroj Padhi

For Frogs Are Croaking

Come nearer dear Love
for frogs are croaking this night
listen to timbre of thumping heart
from frigid altar you alight;

for the aches of hibernating body
are soaked in copious rain
sweetening soul, you to embody
in the journey of pleasing pain;

all day they croaked under banner
of dark clouds descending to nape
as rain filled field, puddle and well
pouring for hours over landscape;

frog nuptials worked wonders dear
bringing all near, therefore come closer.
