For, Jordanne Poem by Shannon Lamar Edwards

For, Jordanne

For two years I chased you, I felt that you were the woman of my dreams, you were beautiful, down to earth and intelligent, we shared the same dream, we both loved the idea of love but you never could except love in its purest form, you never had that, you never even seen it up close, your surroundings were empty, the temperature was cold, I tried to warm you up, is my heat not enough? Is my love overwhelming, it's clear that my kind is distinct, i'm for you, but your not for me, as our moments desolve, i still will remember them all, I'm guilty of still waiting on your calls, I'll miss you Jordanne the flaws and all, you completed me, every piece I was missing, in you I found them all and it's tarring me apart to know after you read this letter I'll already be gone, it was your potential that's kept me this long, but you choose to sell yourself short, to you that's the only way life will make since, it's not real to you unless it hurts, so goodbye my love, do that hurt enough?
