For My Girl Poem by Charlie Zapien

For My Girl

If I gave you my dreams will you hold them for ever?
When I'm falling apart, will you be there to put me back together?
If you’re ever angry with me and all I want is comfort, will you put everything to the side just to hold me?
Do you believe me when I say a lifetime?
Am I your first and last thought of your day?

I couldn't imagine me being with someone else.
My life isn't worth sharing unless it’s shared with you.

Do you have any idea how much I miss you as the days pass?
But every day is just a day closer so we can be together

6 years ago I will of never guess we would have a beautiful daughter and be lifetime partners.

You are my wife, lover, best friend, and mother of our daughter.
Today is a day I miss you more than usually. But I know it will all be worth it when I am holding you in my arms.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My girlfriend and high school sweet heart is currently in Alaska due to the air force. She is 3000+ miles away but the love we share will always remain strong.
