Six decades of life
A symbol of experience,
Maturity or immaturity?

A Bachelor's degree and bank job
Perched on branches of Canara tree
'Cherambadi' the defining moment
The lost seeds of inquiry
Into nature, society, family & self
Picked up somewhere deep within.

Bird's eye view through Marxist lens
Danced to its political tunes
The rhythm to languish and not its music
Osho's lullaby a temporal solace
Amidst the cacophony of sounds
Music still stronger and integral
Requiring revamp and readjustment
To ever-changing times.

Took to joint family tree
Traversed through its tribulations
In turn gained and garnered
Blossoming friendship with many
A mundane life continued.

My wife and two children
The assets of my life.
Close relatives, friends
And doctors as demigods
Co-assets at time of crisis.

I ask myself sometimes
Have I accomplished my tasks
Complex is the reply; Onlookers--
The best mirror to my deeds.
