For Pike Poem by chris schwartz

For Pike

The tears we shed today
Water the brilliant flowers
That blossom
In Heaven
They bring us pain
For those
That went away
Four legged friends
That have tired
Of loving what has left
And what remains.
What more could we ask
Of a furry friend
But their heart that still
Still
.Quietly remains
Footprints tap dancing
On the floor
Lapping water
From toilet bowls
Brings joy still
To the world
Of our
Wondering souls
Brings silence
To our hearts
And longing
To enter the world
In which you now
Find Comfort.

Nice poem. I enjoyed reading it. When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be about fishing... ... for pike.
