For sundry miles today
We trudged, trudged, trudged
And feet the crunch of leaves
At times.
Sometimes the putrid stench
Of corpses'
In the near distance
Bombs falling
Bombs exploding,
Death perils all around in white
masks
we,
future skeletons already resigned
nay more resigned
with every passing second
thus be we, be in company
trudging, trudging, trudging.
