For The Apes Poem by taha contractor

For The Apes

Rating: 5.0

so much similar,
and so different are we.

we share the same ancestry and form
and yet you are hunted by me.

your emotions primal and raw are plain to see,
while ours are hidden in a veil of pretence and false smiles for none to see

you are true and show compassion for your kind,
while we destroy one another with glee.

how ironic is it then that you are imprisoned
while we roam free.

An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in beautiful rhyme scheme with conviction. Good analogy drawn between man and ape. Thanks sharing Taha.
