For The Ideal Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

For The Ideal

For the Ideal
I shall suffer
More than I suffered
I say.
Weep
Blood subsequent to
Tears
And then
Under the pincers of the
Crushing stones
I will shed tears
Without blood
Without liquid.
And
The suffering shall
Exceed
The lone guilt-feelings of a Broken Soul
And yet speak not
And yet wise suffer.
