For Your Eyes Only Poem by Sabat Khan

For Your Eyes Only

The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen,
which could bring me through the strongest emotions I could ever feel,
were the ones I have left behind.
But, still gazing at me in my mind.
They are deep as oceans,
tinge as lemons,
and innocent as a rose.
Looking at them one can smell the essence of simplicity.
Oh, how beautiful they are?
Like the purest forms of nature.

These eyes belong to a face which I can never forget.
A face, which is one of the possessions of my thoughts.
But eyes are the one's which ail me,
tell me to say amen.
For when I look at them,
something seems to be amiss, something essential,
worthy of lot of attention.
I feel hollow from inside, unable to think,
and answer the questions in my mind.
Because those eyes are even deeper than those of Madonna.
For those eyes say nothing,
but express everything.
Such is the condition,
that I have become accustomed to them,
and I can renounce everything and anything.

So for your eyes only I will come back,
and that’s a promise,
for your eyes only.
