My Precious - Poem by Sabat Khan
Roses are red, sky is blue.
I don't know why I love you.
But the sky is endless and so are you.
You are my destiny and you fill me with emotion,
just like a little magic portion.
Rumours are out that you are mine,
but I believe that everyone is lying.
How can a precious petal of rose like you be mine,
when I am worth only a dime.
But I still can't stop loving you.
I don't write to have your love out of pity,
but I want you to love me for eternity.
It's your love and affection that keps me alive,
just like the making of honey in bee-hive.
Your love is like an appetizer to me,
but much more filling indeed.
That is why I promise to never leave you as you are my only need.
