Forbid It Not Poem by Je'free Y .

Forbid It Not

Rating: 4.8

My words have ripened with righteousness.
Take my parables seriously now.
Listen about the start and end of success,
About the what, when, where, why and how.

End of success, forbid it not.
End of success, forbid it not.

My voice has grown and earned maturity.
Take my verses from where I'm enthroned.
No crown will ever last for eternity.
I'll leave you pages in this life that's loaned.

No crown will last, forbid it not.
No crown will last, forbid it not.

My hands write now for a purpose much profound.
Poems ought to leave wisdom, not mere fame.
I've rescued my soul from the lost-and-found,
As I tossed all glamour into the flame.

Poems ought to last, the flesh shall rot.
Poems ought to last, forbid them not.
