Sitting with their hands laced tight
Knowing that nothing will tear them,
Not even a fight
He leans in and gently brushes her hair
She knows she can hardly bare
She looks up to find a surprise,
He’s quiet, with tears in his eyes
She asks if something is wrong,
He looks at her and smiles and says:
“No babe, I’m just glad we’re
still together after this long”
“I love you babe, no matter what,
even when we get in a rut”.
“I always want us to be
even if my friends or your
friends don’t agree”.
“I just hope.. you feel the
same about me...”
She looks at him and whispers,
“Of course I do..
Hun, I’m in love with you”
