Two-Sided Poem by Simon Cowell

Two-Sided

I am - a guy who's trying to just get by
I wonder - if luck will ever take my side
I hear - the panting of my tired mind
I see - the pitfalls and potholes in my way
I want - more of something, I just don't know what
I am - a trusting someone, with no one
I pretend - but that's not helping
I feel - as if no one will lend their hands out
I touch - life and thrust it away
I worry - that I might not make it
I cry - of lost ones that have fallen
I am - whoever I say I am
I understand - nothing of life and it's obstacles
I say - I'll be fine, I just hope so
I dream - of speeding past my road of fear
I try - to help others
I hope - one day the sun will shine on my side
I am - myself
