a kiss from the past
a memory of the time
I saw you last

A name on my phone
that gives me a smile
A handsome man
who I haven't seen in a while

A conversation all night
and a romantic love
you were sent to me
from the angels above

To show me what's real
and show me the real you
to teach me things
I never knew

A long and sad life
you wish you could put back
no girl could help you
understanding is what they lack

My understanding is deep
I don't judge your life
maybe someday
you'll make me your wife

For now we date other people
till I can be with you
a few years from now
it will be just us two

Forever, till the day I die
