“Always and forever” you said
Did it ever occur to you that
Forever includes today, now and this moment?

Today when you walked out
Left me feeling my worst..
Now as you laugh at hurtful jokes about me,
This moment when you look at me
And lie straight to my once beautiful face

“Forever” you said
Did it not include protecting me?
Or did it just exclude my bad days?

Well my forever includes now
Now when am too weak to party
This moment when am not there to defend my name
when all is not well

my forever includes you,
only you
whenever and however you are
you and all of you
just you

“forever” I say
so you tell me
Is it still forever?
