Why must love turn to hate,
When a relationship comes to an end?
Why cant there be a peace that forms,
Why cant they still be friends?
Why do we feel the need to cause,
Pain to the ones we used to love?
Why must we act like vicious dogs,
Instead of being peaceful like that of a dove?
A relationship that does not end in peace,
Does not end at all;
Rather we carry the bitterness in our hearts,
And we set ourselves up for a fall.
Bitterness guilt and shame,
Are pills that are hard to swallow;
Unless we find a way to deal with our emotions,
Forever we shall be hollow.
