Forever Tender (Sonnet #113) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Forever Tender (Sonnet #113)

So blessed am I by your love, blessed by God,
Happily I live my days by your side,
As kids in green spring fields we run and trod
Hand in hand, our heart is where we reside.

Amid life's harshness, you are pure tenderness,
If despair blurs my heart, with hope you flood it,
When I sway with my mood, you allay my mess,
To our love we'll fight, never shall we quit.

A nest cradles birds' love; thus does our heart,
We've known each other, eons, eons ago,
Nurtured by the same roots, tied we are,
You are my everything, the world I forgo.

Nobody lasts, people change all the time
Except your heart, forever tender — it's mine ❤
