Forevermore Poem by Nik Houghton

Forevermore

In my dreams you came
Without a face nor name
You bowed and said hello
I was astonished from head below

I knew not of you then
And wondered of your feign
Searched here and there
Beckoned you to be fair

Protesting you were real
Brought shame to me dear
Places grew unreachable
While your mirage reappeared clearer

Looking back
I smile with profound glow
You were right beside me
Imploring silently

A masked illusion
In my ambition
You came as a dream
And now live as my King
