Forget Me Poem by Courtney Casebolt

Forget Me

I’ve had all this time to think
& we just aren’t meant to be
After all the lies you made me believe
There is no you and me
So find someone else to take my place
These memories you can’t erase
Baby I need so much more than space
Chorus
Grab a bottle
& wash me down
I hope you’re haunted
For messin’ around
You need to forget me
& everything we had
All the times you made me smile
This stuff I hear will take you the extra mile
Don’t worry baby you’ll forget me in a little while

Baby you just haven’t had the time
Just remember I don’t call you mine
Those last three little words
Forget what you heard
Here’s another six pack
Sit back and try to relax
Go ahead and drink yourself to oblivion
The only thing you’ll remember when you wake up is that I’m done
Chorus
Baby, baby drinkin’ like a man
Wash me outta your life
When you’re finished with that can
