If I ever caused you stress,
It was not intentional!
If I ever crowded your lifestyle,
It was because I wanted to be close to you!
If I brought distress into your life,
It was because of the gift I saw in you!
If I misunderstood your care for love,
It was because I treasured the way you cared!
If I looked like I mistrusted you,
It was because you never understood me!
If I needed too much than you could give,
It was because you already gave me too much!
If I denied you access to my inner soul,
It was because I did not want to get hurt!
If my love grew and drove you away,
Do find it in your heart to forgive me!
You gave me joy and time stopped!
When I was with you I felt real!
Is it that I misconstrued it all and messed up?
My intention was not to push love away!
All I needed was reassurance!
Is it that when I spoke you heard my 'words'
You did not hear my emotion, need and desire!
