Forgiven Wine Poem by Naveed Akram

Forgiven Wine

The wine is forgiven by the lucifers, inside our minds,
Living is love, internal sadness, as well the godliness.
Mine is the verse of life, mine is the attack of love,
For those rising in relics of excess are attracted to me.

The wine is my fruity drink of felicity, it is wine of love,
It is drink of hearty welcoming, but forbidden is this fruit.
To pluck this entails the first decision ever, as your rights
Are seldom seen to quarrel, your rights are exactly stained.

My tree of life abides in the heavens, its fruit is pure and holy,
But love is abandoned by the weak at heart, and pursuit is
Made by those robots residing in mischief, the devils lurking,
The demons floundering, and the imposters squelching.

Do not take knowledge of the taste, it is bitter and frightened
Of you, fearing you like a shepherd fears nothing but his Lord.
Do not wisely attract the wolves around the palace, for this tall
Building will tremble and topple, it will be like a wine-drop.
