Forgiveness Poem by Wynono Kwahu

Forgiveness

The healing and mending of a broken heart
Begins with the forgiveness for yourself as a start
Life hold hurdles that will sometimes make us fall
Stand up and begin to see you need to stand tall

The connections we hold close to our heart
Sometime not for this lifetime and others depart
But in the plan of the universe we will all meet
In a space filled with love and beside them is your seat

So do not worry that the connection is lost
In time and space the paths are already crossed
Connected to the world and all living things
We understand more that life can ever bring

So forgive yourself and in return forgive the world
Your heartache will heal and your love will unfurl
Life will return and the heart will feel no pain
In a place marked in time you will meet again

Forgiveness is something we can give to another
Sometimes we forget to forgive our own self as the other
So guilt is a trip that you need not take
Open your eyes and you will reawaken
