Forgotten Poem by Bancroft Boreland

Forgotten

Rating: 4.5

Yesterday I attended the funeral of our love
Tomorrow I will bury my past
I will shred your memories
and dispose of them in the atmosphere
I will set fire to everything that reminds me of you
And smile as I watch them disappear
You have broken my heart beyond repair
I have forgiven you for the last time

Please do not apologize
Do not tell me you are sorry
I'm leaving and I am in a hurry
I am going somewhere that is nowhere near you
I will bathe in the ocean and wash
Away every residue of my love for you
I will cut my nose off if it is the
Only way for me to forget the exotic smell of you
And I swear, I swear to you
That I will forget you…

Bancroft, I do hope you don't have trouble forgetting and do not find it difficult to move on. You are certainly determined. I wish you well. Thanks for sharing
