Fragile Poem by Mark Hopwood

Fragile

It seems to me the world
Is an enormous tear-drenched heart
Like leaves falling from a tree
As our fragile world falls apart.

A baby is born, The book is open
A life written as time goes on
If it's opened too wide the binding is broken
And a beautiful life has shattered and gone,
Life hits hard like an exploding bomb.

So fragile, so frail and in need of care
Everyone needs love, but its not always there
Sometimes it is but it leaves or is taken
like rain falling, hitting the ground and breaking.

And a baby is born, Crying in the night
Hold your child tightly for it's a long hard fight
Maybe sometimes its better to never feel love
Incase it gets carried off on a bleeding dove.
