Frail Zephyr Trail Poem by Muhammad Jackson

Frail Zephyr Trail

You've lived your life on a jagged knife,
Saw the world under a disco light,
Standing proud when all goes dark,
Gothic lies through painful truth,
Sweet melodies from a hollow voice,
Black remedies for a broken heart,
Seeking further to bring hope closer,
Blinding success through feeling failure.
Confidence lost in a sea of misfortune,
Bottled away into a placebo state,
Drifting past an easy target,
Sleeping awake in an endless dream,

It's all too easy to just fade away,
When life is lost and future gone,
But you stood proud when all goes dark,
There is a fire burning strong inside,
Open your heart to your sleeping state,
Be wide awake in your hopeless dream,
Your idols fought to be your idols,
Long haul road to find their purpose,
This world is yours for you to take,
Don't hide away from each mistake,
Life is hard but we're here to win,
So live it hard to live your dreams
