The spirit of America
Often contradicts itself
Freedom is not free
The price is more than wealth

Spoils of war
Are for the next generation
If there is no war
Absolute power will corrupt; absolutely

Fire hails from east to west
& west to east, a circle ultimately
There is faith. There is one God
Yet laws are broken daily

Ambitions are to be pure
Not spoiled with yesterdays miseries
Understand you get what you give
So give love, not death
Or any of its family

The weight of sin
Is only stress and death
Enemy of Liberty
Enemy of you and me
God is merciful: God is love
He desires us to be free
