Free, We Are! Poem by Nicholas Lim

Freedom is joy,
Sweet is its taste.
Like the rain on the earth,
Freedom is god’s grace!

Hail the lord,
Hail the fighters,
Holy is the victor,
Who gave us back our freedom!

In the lord we pray,
Our prayers have given wonder!
After that long day,
Finally, we conquer! ! !

Ecstasy, is the foal,
Bounding in the meadow,
We are like these beasts now,
Sprinting in the snow!

We have gained our rights,
In democracy, we stand,
Victors over victors,
In freedom, we have landed!
