Freedom Of Speech And Opinion Poem by Paul Warren

Freedom Of Speech And Opinion

Free thought and giving opinion
Is a natural democratic right
That seems to be under fire
I can understand if it's terrorism
That governments and their institutions
Try to stamp out and to stop

But citing opinions about court outcomes
As being contempt of court is wrong
This is the sort of thing that totalitarian governments do
Sometimes you have to wear the fact that opinions differ.
