Fresh Fall Day Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Fresh Fall Day

I wish you were here somehow
I'm so lost and blue
I might feel myself again
In your company

I wonder what we would do
this cool fresh Fall day
The bright colored leaves falling
If we'd have our way

Meeting for the very first time
Awkward it might be
But neither would mind
I'd extend my hand to thee

Though I'm naturally shy
I'd look toward your eyes
'Caring', I'd pray see
Beneath the whispy blue sky

'Care' I'd hope you see in mine
and off we would go
us two hand in hand
like flowers intertwined

And in your company
your care sublime
I'd drink your spirit in
like a fine wine
