Fresh Laundry Poem by Ellen Rose Guilaran

Fresh Laundry

why does my eyes smells like fresh laundry
everytime it washes my cheeks
I feel the overwhelming clearness
In the head burdened with sorrow

It is my pressure valve
released some of life's
airy pressure
of shoes I can't fill in
of failed expectations

but here I cry and cry suddenly over one tired day
and my eyes smells like fresh laundry

clear, bright, and new
