It's time to leave the past behind,
Excitement and nerves, about what I'll find.
The horizon shifts, the shadows part,
A quiet thrill inside my heart.
The path worn thin is left behind,
For open roads and peace of mind.
I turn the key, I pack the space,
To find my home in a brand new place.
The hard work done, the qualification earned,
The key to every lesson learned.
It unlocked doors I couldn't reach,
And gave me lessons time could teach.
A brand new job, a different street,
A new city where fresh futures meet.
A whole new house to call my own,
A life reborn, a seed now sown.
New faces waiting down the line,
Warm conversations yet to twine.
Though nervous jitters start to rise,
Hope takes its place beneath the skies.
The air feels clean, the future wide,
With pure excitement racing deep inside.
It's time to grow, to rise, to start,
To build a life that fits this heart.
It's taken me years to get to this place,
And even though my heart does race,
It's from anticipation of the unknown,
Showing me just how I've grown.
