Friend Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

Friend

Rating: 5.0

Have you seen the sunrise, Friend,
Or strolled through early morning dew
Planning the day's adventure
Pondering things you want to do?

Have you ever seen the sunset, Friend,
Across the bay and wistfully thought
"The day has passed so quickly by"
And what is lost can not be bought.

Each day swiftly comes and goes
And, true, time past is lost to never
When waking to a new day born
Think not, Friend, you have forever.
