Like a cool, lonely breeze, on a spring day,
A magnetic field where no compass points.
A lone anomaly in every way,
Stumbling, wandering past all the checkpoints.
Friendless yet aware of my growing fear,
Of losing all those in my little heart,
Like the ones who are gone that I held dear.
And even if I can, where would I start?
With a friendly smile and pure intention,
You approached me first like the dawning sun,
Lifetime best friends, that is not a question.
For the first time, I found life truly fun.
More confident in all of my friendships,
They are but many rollercoaster trips.
