Friendship Poem by Fiona Pimentel

Friendship

There may be neighbours in the house next door
About whose names you’ve never been quite sure;
You could even live for years upon years
With those who’d never dare show their fears,
And your voice would never soften their ears,
Nor could you ever let them see your tears;
Yet there are others who with one look
Unwrap the cover of your soul’s book,
Disarm the shaded fortress of your heart,
Inspire in you every form of art;
These are the ones whom we must cherish,
For without such friends, our souls will perish.

Enchanting poem. A poetic and glorious resume of the true nature of friendship. Loved it!
