Friendship Lasts Forever? - Poem by Lyrael Myrna

Something inside of me
Won’t let me get this out
I try, I try to express
I try…
I try to impress

This motion
Fate filled notion
A friend ship they say
Can live forever
We won’t live forever

I’ll be there but you won’t want me
I’ll be there and you won’t care
I’ll be gone and you’ll be laughing
I’ve been bad and I don’t blame you
I have become a cynic without you
Or am I a cynic BECAUSE of you?

This motion
Fate filled notion
A friendship they say
Can live forever
We won’t live forever

We stabbed each other in the back
From all this emotion turned to black
I’m sorry, so very sorry
I was scared
I don’t like to be alone

I’ll be there but you won’t want me
I’ll be there and you won’t care
I’ll be gone and you’ll be laughing
I’ve been bad and I don’t blame you
But don’t, please don’t say goodbye
