Frightening Poem by Shiloh Thompson

Frightening

I've never been afraid of the dawn,
And all the secrets it holds,
But now as I watch the lightening,
Hearing the thunder roll endlessly,
I am suddenly terrified.

A mystery of the flesh to be told,
A secret passion and love,
A friendship gone possibly forever,
And all other realities I have,
Scare me to death.
