I see my love from a distance,
As I come forward to take my first step,
I am afraid this time,
I cannot keep,
My promise of love.

From a distance I wonder,
If this love of mine,
Will last forever,
I try so hard to define,
The meaning of love.

From a distance I finally see,
I completely understand,
As I move forward to take my second step,
Followed by a third step,
Oh! You are easy to love like a sponge.
