Weary, tired, very slow,
Too slow and tired to attend
The work above or work below,
Too weary to follow what was planned,
Weary to reap and slow to sow,
Too Tired to begin or end,
Unwilling to shrink, weary to grow,
To walk the straight or turn the bend
To attend the weary show,
To receive it or to send,
The questions we would like to know,
Weary and tired for any land,
To take a skate across the snow
Or ride a camel in the sand
Or attempt and try to row
The ferry to Styx's other end
Or receive omens from a crow
Or lead or even to depend
Or a final word bestow,
Too weary to suture or to rend,
Too weary, tired, heavy and slow
In the knowledge that there's no end
To what we lend or what we owe,
But still no time to break or mend,
Really to tend to joy or woe
No real power to sink or scend,
Too slow to doubt, too slow to trow,
Weary for choosing whither to wend,
Weary to spend or amass some dough,
In the knowledge that there's no end,
Too weary to know the path to go
Or it's parts to divide or blend
Or what on it to trail and tow,
Tired to try to attempt to tend
To land in a correct place in row,
Now to know what there's to know:
Who's to blame and who to shend,
Absolve who for want of know,
Pardon who for want to tend
To know exactly what they owe,
Happy their lot by chance to show
And even all to their doom to send,
Tired to lie, too weary to vow,
Too weary anything to amend,
Weary to try any evil to sow,
Slow to show any helping hand,
Weary, tired, happy and slow
In the knowledge that there's no end
