From Beginning To The End Iii: Radio Tune Poem by Brandon Frasure

From Beginning To The End Iii: Radio Tune

Sometimes I sit up here for a while and watch the world move around me

As Far as my eyes can see there's still things I can't believe

Look to the northwest, the distance between you and me is almost too great to believe

And inside my chest still burns that feeling from that day when you had to leave

Six months it's been and it seems like forever to me

So I was wondering if you could tell me a sweet little word or maybe two?

Because the radio's been playing nothing but lonely tunes

This is going to take some getting used to but I promise you I'll make it through

So can you tell me a sweet little word or maybe two?

Because babe I'm still missing you

They told me I was better off where I was at

Firmly grounded and hopelessly surrounded by my past regrets

I've never flown before and I've never made it past first base

And I'm one to face the truth that sometimes, maybe always I lose a game or two

I'm not always going to be here and maybe one day I'll be far away

But that's the future and the future comes too soon

So let's live in the moments and not everything in-between

Because these are our Midwest dreams

And somewhere farther than my eyes can see

Is a smile my eyes can hardly believe

Somewhere out there is the one I miss

And the radio's playing another lonely tune

It seems like every song they play reminds me of you

So can you tell me a sweet little word or maybe two

Just to get me by until I find my way back to you

Because babe I'm missing you

The radio plays the loneliest songs

And they always remind me of you

Day after day it's always the same

And day after day I'm missing you

I guess this is just going to take some time getting used to

I miss you
