From Fighting To Faith! Poem by Denis Martindale

Each boxer learns how best to fight, while stamina persists,
Yet not as Christians who delight as God's evangelists.
Like saints with prayer that never stops, who serve the Saviour's plans,
Like saints who pray on mountain tops, or preach in foreign lands.

The Holy Bible mentions wars that prophecies foretell,
Evangelists say God restores, and Jesus saves from Hell.
The finest faith deserves rewards, and Heaven is the aim,
From Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords, all glory to His Name.

From Christmas we can learn so much, and Easter teaches, too,
Yet we must seek the Saviour's touch, in order to fight through.
The Gospel's on our TVs now, wherever we may roam,
So pray for what God will allow that God may bless each home.

By faith, the pilgrims can progress, by faith, while there's still time,
With signs and wonders that express how God's love proves sublime!
