From Listening To Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

From Listening To Nature

From listening to Nature great insights we gain
The crickets are singing to tell us of rain
The sky clouded over at gloam of the day
And from us rain cannot be too far away
Nature from us many of her secrets does hide
And to look into her soul great scientists have tried
But of her best kept secrets they never will know
Our wonder of Nature it only does grow
Her billions of insects that crawl, hop and fly
Her many species of animals and birds of the sky
And all things of Nature relate in some way
The theory of relativity as Einstein used to say
And the songs of the little dark crickets i hear
To tell me that rain to us is very near.
