Were you ever there when I needed you most?
Did you even care when you saw me shed tears?
Did you ever think twice when you let me go?
Did you even realise deep inside me was fear?
You never loved me the way I love you
You showed me so much but was it all true?
You protected me and cared so much for so long
Yet when we were together did you see it was wrong?
You were leaving me and hurting me from the very first day
But how could you do that in such a harsh way?
Your mind was set and your heart was not for me
But the love I feel - you're forever blind to see
Your beautiful eyes were suddenly cold and vicious
Your heart turned to stone and I couldn't make it change
I could see no more light and it was all because
I gave you my heart but you treated me like a game
You were the only happiness I could find in my life
And my feelings for you - still so very true
There are so many feelings I still have to hide
So please tell me why I still love you
