From Me To You Poem by Esther Williams

From Me To You

These memories will last my lifetime.
Possibly some will live beyond.
Recounting the smiles and laughter,
Passing down the stories of our bond.

Carrying me upon your shoulders,
I'd fiddle and twiddle with your long dark hair.
Our foundation solid through the wear and tear.
You were strong through the ups and downs.
I still look to you for guidance and a helping hand.
In years to come, when I reach out receive me,
When I cry out hear my voice, tell me you love and hold me close.
When you reach out, I will welcome you and remind you I love you most.
