From Present To Past Perfect Poem by shimon weinroth

From Present To Past Perfect

Rating: 5.0

Some events that have been, seem to mellow
Colors fade and pages turn to yellow
Psyche and memory play strange tricks
Blend distasteful and insipd

With salty tang and delicious nostalgia
Yearning for the past of youth

Have a coke, drink a beer
Sip some wine, dine on thoughts so fine.
Breathe easier
The first ninety years are the most difficult
