And I listened
This is a brand new day,
The moon took my misery with
The sun burnt my scares to heal,
The breeze whispered, “it is alright now”
And I listened
The old has gone,
The new has come,
He who lived here yesterday,
Lives here no more for He said to change,
And I listened.
From the day the first raindropp nourished this soil,
From the day the last tree searched for water through this desert soil,
To this day that the first struggles up again,
Many stories I hear, and am told.
And I listened
Open are these ears,
Cristal clear are these thoughts,
Washed is this heart.
And ready is this will.
He spoke, AND I LISTENED
