From The Heart Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

From The Heart

Rating: 5.0

i seldom give advice
on the art
of writing poetry
that's left for
those i mentor
so now is not
the time to start

there's just one
thing i'm thinking
a suggestion for
what it's worth
when you write
write from the heart
for that's where
all great poems start

True! If a poem is 'felt' it marks the beginning on the road to achieve some kind of 'greatness'. If it connects hearts, that's a determining factor I would think. Short poem here and gets its meaning across. L
