Today, he proposed at long length
Gave a necklace to dwell this neck
Or is it a rope now- you call it
What matters is- he proposed-
I have had it all day in my gaze
And put it around my neck
I try the mirror seeming high
But it reminds me my pain
And acquaint me my night-
That In end- someone wants me
The scars didn’t repel this one
Nor did he an ill- to my corpulence
And I hold it to my heart this night
The joy his gift has brought me-
