Frosty Winter Sights Poem by Marilyn Lott

Frosty Winter Sights

Rating: 4.0

The beauty is astounding
As ice forms on everything
A deadly solid stillness
So cold you feel the sting

The chill is so profound
There’s a magic in the air
Your breath clings all around you
Snap some pictures if you dare

Ah, look now at the windmill
Amongst the icy tree
It’s almost unbelievable
Sculpted so creatively

Ice-trees meet in roadways
It’s a quiet sight to see
Stillness in winter’s freeze
So unbelievably

Icicles hang from fences
Thick as your arm they are
Driving is a challenge
Whether in a pickup or a car

So put your warmest clothes on
To see the frozen delight
Take your camera out and capture
The frosty winter sights!
