Frozen Poem by Lorenzo Cruz

Frozen

Rating: 5.0

Your love is embedded in my heart, like a deep wound
my eyes ask when shall we see her, in my heart I pray
hopefully soon.
Your departure has left me trapped in my mind, gasping for air
somewhere in my soul your love is still there,

Stuck in one moment, I play it, and rewind
seeing your face, frozen in time.
I surrender my life to you, all I have is one
feel the warmth greater than the sun.

Come closer and listen to the beat of my heart
it calls out your name, we shall never be apart

This wonderful poem, containing comparisons like: ''love is embedded in my heart, like a deep wound'', cognitive metaphors like: ''Your departure has left me trapped in my mind, ''and epithets like: ''deep wound'' is a a poem of symbolism.I can imagine a painting with a frozen face in the center and a lot of symbols around for explaining the cause of this change.I like it...10++ from me
